Close to Katahdin

We are two days away from completing our journey! At the moment, we are sitting with Snake Bite in a Millinocket, ME motel, waiting out a pretty decent storm. We traversed the 100 mile wilderness in gorgeous weather, right up until our final day. It was quite a chore to carry 6 days of food on our backs, especially with our expanded appetite, but we made it, managing to only have to eat straight peanut butter for only one meal. So Much Maine!

There’s been a bit if confusion about our current location on the trail, mostly because we have been bad bloggers (but much better hikers!). As we write, we are in Caratunk, ME – about 150 miles from the end of our journey. We’ve been taking it easier than we could as we move through Maine, enjoying good friends, camp fires and some of the most scenic views!
