6/22 Punchbowl Shelter or “the Death March” (9)

One of the members of our hiking party spent the day delirious with fever, spewing mucous and anger everywhere and attempting to chase away their much calmer, more patient partner.  The anonymous virulent monster staggered blindly up one mountain, led by their loyal counterpart, and then poorly down the other side.  After heaping abuse on this paragon of romantic virtue, the beast slept the rest of the day in the tent and emitted occasional snarls and whimpers.  Also, the clouds were lovely.

I can now officially say that I could not do this trail without Mark; Please don’t tell him.
