Today was a lot of fun.  We hiked an easy nine and a half miles with Miller and took in some of the coolest parts of Maryland.  We went over High Rock today, which is not only the local graffiti spot but also a great view of two states.

High Rock is also where all the highschoolers hang out (as you might have already surmised from the artwork above).  Miller managed to make some friends there:

Until the wind shifted towards them.

We’re pretty proud of him.

The High Rock area would have been the highlight of the day, but it was also JoeCool’s fantastic birthday celebration day, and we walked into PenMar Park, at the border of Pennsylvania and Maryland, just in time to catch her and her boyfriend (and former thruhiker) B-Man.  They went to grab burgers and hotdogs and in the meantime in hiked Frodo and Winterborn, TrailWreck and Swagger, Schnitzel and TeenWolf, and Outback.  It quickly turned into a hiker party and in the middle of our gluttony Limey staggered in, having just completed the four state challenge and walked 45 miles in 20 hours.  It definitely put our 3 day jaunt across Maryland to shame.  We watched the sunset from the park and fell asleep in the covered dance pavilion, feeling only slightly homeless.
